Selected Topics in Space

What it is about

The module illuminates the changing space ecosystem: technical, economic, legal and political drivers behind the growth of the space economy (New Space). You will gain an overview of systems, actors and processes from ground infrastructure to in-orbit services and will be able to classify developments and opportunities in the space sector afterwards.

What you will be able to do

• Provide an overview of central systems, actors and processes in the space ecosystem
• Identify and classify concepts for space transport and service
• Assess technical and market-related improvements of a system
• Consider ecological, economic and social impacts of actions
• Evaluate inter- and transdisciplinary approaches to sustainable development
• Ongoing reflection on methods and knowledge in the context of sustainability
