AI-edited module sheet. Based on the TUMonline module description, edited for readability.Original in TUMonline

What it is about

You will learn how cooperative navigation and positioning for swarms of robots work. The module conveys Bayesian estimation methods (including Kalman filters and sequential Monte Carlo/particle filters), radio localization concepts, and methods of estimation theory for the analysis and optimization of swarm navigation. At the end you will be able to design a radio-based swarm navigation system and evaluate its performance.

What you will be able to do

  • Understand the basics of cooperative positioning
  • Understand Bayesian estimation methods and apply them to swarm navigation
  • Apply estimation theory methods for performance analysis
  • Design a radio-based system for swarm navigation
  • Transfer knowledge to different environments and applications

What the module consists of

  • LectureTransmission of subject matter by the lecturer
  • TutorialPresentation and discussion of solutions to the tasks
