Aircraft Design Basics

What it is about

You will learn the fundamentals of aircraft design: aerodynamics, structural design, propulsion sizing, performance and mission calculations as well as airframe and electrical aircraft technologies. In the end you will be able to apply design methods and analysis tools, design individual subsystems in the overall context, and evaluate the economic and ecological efficiency of a typical flight mission.

• Application of current design methods and analysis tools for transport aircraft
• Dimensioning of individual subsystems considering the overall aircraft
• Quantification of economic and ecological efficiency along a flight mission
