TUM Data Innovation Lab

What it is about

In the TUM Data Innovation Lab you work in your Master's program in small, interdisciplinary teams on real data-driven projects from science or industry. In the end you will be able to process, analyze and visualize data, implement numerical solutions, and present your results both technically and in an understandable way.

What you will be able to do

• Formulate practical questions mathematically and develop solution approaches
• Apply data analysis and technical methods
• Implement numerical algorithms
• Evaluate different solution methods
• Assess and interpret results with respect to the application
• Create project plans and monitor progress
• Apply project management techniques
• Present results scientifically and non-scientifically
• Collaborate interdisciplinarily in a team

What the module consists of

• Praktikum/ProjektarbeitWorking on a concrete data-related project in teams (3–4 students)
• PresentationOral presentation of the project results to an audience
• Written reportDetailed documentation of the project (approx. 25 pages)
