In this module you will learn the physical fundamentals and typical phenomena of turbulent flows as well as methods for their statistical description. You will learn how to formulate real flow problems with the basic equations, when turbulence modeling is necessary, and how to select appropriate models (including LES) to investigate flows numerically in an efficient and sufficiently accurate way.
