What it is about

You will learn to constructively design fiber-reinforced composite structures while considering special features such as draping, bonding, and the orthotropic material behavior. Specifically, you will practice applying construction-specific guidelines and implement them in a practical way with the CAD system CATIA V5, so that you can independently create composite components from individual part design to drawing.

• Application of the most important environments and functions of CATIA V5 for composite construction
• Consideration of space, stiffness, connections and manufacturing process in the design
• Implementation of an effective design process from component to drawing
• Recognition and application of fiber-reinforced specific design guidelines
