Ringvorlesung: Additive Fertigung

What it is about

The module provides an overview of processes, materials and application areas of additive manufacturing (3D printing). You will gain insights into technical fundamentals, data preparation, process simulation as well as special procedures for metals, polymers and composite materials and learn to assess industrial usage possibilities and limitations.

• Name fundamental differences between additive and traditional manufacturing processes
• Recognize suitable and unsuitable application areas
• Formulate requirements for additive manufacturing in different application areas
• Identify limitations in industrial applications and formulate countermeasures
