Psychology of Learning and Instructional Design of AI-based Systems

What it is about

You learn fundamental concepts of the psychology of learning and principles of instructional design, as well as their application to AI-based (learning) systems. In the end you will be able to describe cognitive learning theories and instructional principles, apply them to AI-supported learning environments, and employ basic evaluation methods as well as questionnaire and test construction for user studies.

What you will be able to do

• Name cognitive learning theories and apply them to learning phenomena in AI systems
• Differentiate relevant psychological prerequisites of humans and understand human–AI interaction
• Overview and practical application of principles of psychological instructional design
• Acquire basic knowledge in questionnaire and test construction and transfer to practice examples
• Strengthen communication, argumentation and critical thinking through group work and discussions
