What it is about

You examine how AI technologies are integrated into human life and what ethical issues arise from this. In the end you can describe prevalent conceptions of AI, explain their ethical implications, and apply these concepts to concrete case studies to critically assess the ethical conflicts.

What you will be able to do

  • describe prevailing and often implicitly assumed conceptions of AI
  • explain the ethical problems of the respective conceptions
  • read, analyze and understand philosophical texts
  • apply conceptions to concrete case studies
  • identify specific ethical conflicts between conceptions
  • present and discuss scientific texts
  • apply critical thinking to new cases
