Energy Transitions in Comparative Perspective

What it is about

You will learn the political, institutional and technical aspects of the sustainable transformation of energy systems in Germany, Europe and internationally. By the end you will be able to analyse key actors, control instruments and determinants of energy policy, apply comparative policy methods, and critically evaluate political outcomes.

• Understand production, distribution and valorisation of energy in interaction
• Apply methods of comparative policy analysis to energy policy
• Identify challenges of national and European multi-level policy
• Critically examine energy policy outcomes in Germany, Europe and internationally
