Project Week: GovTech Design Lab: Harnessing AI, Earth Observation and Data Storytelling to Tackle Climate Security and Conflict

What it is about

You work in an interdisciplinary team to analyze geospatial data and publicly available datasets (e.g., via Google Earth Engine) and derive insights that are valuable for decision-makers and the public. The aim is the further development of Geoguard (an environmental dashboard) in collaboration with UN DPPA, as well as learning Data Storytelling to communicate complex interrelationships.

What you will be able to do

• Geospatial Data analysis with publicly available tools (e.g., Google Earth Engine)
• Derivation of insights to support decisions in climate and security topics
• Development of data-based narratives (Data Storytelling) for different publics
• Interdisciplinary collaboration and overcoming disciplinary boundaries
• Presentation and collaboration skills
