Generation and analysis of human stem cell derived pancreas organoids (BEMP Praktikum)

What it is about

You participate in a one-week laboratory internship in which you learn to culture human stem cells and differentiate them into pancreatic organoids. At the end you will be able to culture stem cells, initiate a 3D differentiation toward the pancreatic lineage, and analyze the resulting organoids using molecular biology and cell biology methods.

What you will be able to do

• Understand and apply the basic principles of culture and differentiation of human stem cells
• Master routine stem cell culture techniques (media preparation, cultivation, passaging)
• Initiate 3D differentiation toward the pancreatic lineage
• Apply analytical methods (FACS, immunofluorescence, microscopy, GSIS)
• Document, evaluate and present experimental data
