What it is about

In this practicum you work in small teams on experimental projects of optical imaging and microscopy. You plan, conduct, document and evaluate experimental imaging experiments (e.g., fluorescence and optoacoustic imaging) and present the results in a scientific context.

What you will be able to do

• Independent preparation of a scientific experiment in the field of optical imaging
• Operation and application of complex experimental setups under supervision
• Careful documentation and storage of experimental imaging data
• Computer-aided data analysis (primarily with MATLAB)
• Drafting a scientific report and discussion of the results
• Application of basic methods of scientific literature research
