What it is about

In this research internship you work independently on a current biochemical research project and learn to practically apply modern experimental techniques. In the end you will be able to address research questions experimentally, document, evaluate and present results both orally and in writing.

What you will be able to do

• Question-oriented planning and execution of scientific experiments
• Evaluation, interpretation and critical appraisal of experimental results
• Application of a broad range of molecular biological, biochemical and cellular biological methods
• Independent laboratory work and integration into a research team
• Documentation in the laboratory notebook and scientific presentation of results (written and oral)
• Deriving hypotheses and follow-up control experiments

What the module consists of

• ForschungspraktikumIndependent handling of a research project in a research group (full-time, typically 3 weeks of practical work; at least 6 weeks in total), including preparation, results discussions and final presentation
