Technische Biokatalyse

What it is about

You will gain a broad overview of the use of enzymes in industrial processes and learn technically important aspects using current examples. In the end you will be able to assess opportunities and limits of biocatalytic solutions and sketch technical implementations or meaningful scenarios for new enzymatic processes.

Understand the behavior and limits of enzymes in processes
Outline approaches for establishing biocatalytic implementations

90-minute written examination. Proof that in limited time a problem of applied biocatalysis can be recognized and solution approaches can be outlined. Tasks require own calculations and formulations; partially multiple-choice elements may be possible. Allowed aid: pocket calculator. The exercise is not exam-relevant, it serves as preparation.
