Microbiomes for Sustainable Agriculture and One Health

What it is about

You learn which role plants and their microorganisms play for sustainable agriculture and for One Health. In the end you will be able to analyze plant-associated microbiomes and soil–plant interactions using ecological and bioinformatic methods, as well as apply laboratory and experimental approaches to investigate beneficial root-microbiome interactions.

What you will be able to do

• Understand the roles of plants and microorganisms in sustainable agriculture and One Health
• Analyze plant-associated microbiomes and soil–plant interactions ecologically and bioinformatically
• Apply microbial cultivation, functional tests and experimental design in the laboratory
• Critically evaluate scientific questions and methodological strategies
• Independently plan a research project on complex plant-microbiome-environment interactions
