Forschungspraktikum Metabolic Programming

What it is about

You will conduct a ca. 6-week research internship at the Chair of Metabolic Programming. You will work on current questions related to gene regulation, metabolism, inflammation and aging, with a focus on nuclear receptors. In the end you will be able to develop experimental strategies, apply laboratory procedures, analyze data and present results.

What you will be able to do

• Analyze current research topics on molecular gene regulation
• Develop experimental strategies for simple research questions on hormone receptors
• Practically apply selected laboratory methods (genetics, cell biology, molecular biology)
• Precisely analyze data and use it for the evaluation of research results
• Appropriately present and discuss laboratory results
• Transfer learned techniques independently and evaluate new data
