What it is about

You work practically in ongoing research projects on the interaction of parasites and host immunity. In the end you will be able to translate experimental questions into experimental plans, conduct laboratory experiments in a methodologically correct way, document results, and critically evaluate experimental data.

• Understanding parasite-host interactions and their consequences
• Transfer of research questions into experimental approaches
• Correct methodological execution and documentation of experiments
• Interpretation, evaluation and error analysis of experimental data
• Conducting parasitological and immunological methods (in vitro)
• Safe, responsible handling of pathogens of risk group 2

What the module consists of

• Research internshippractical participation in projects of the Infection Pathogenesis working group
• Internship reportwritten evaluation and interpretation of the performed experiments (≤ 25 pages)
• Presentation15-minute talk in English for oral presentation and discussion of the work
