Research Project on Phages in the Gut Microbiome

What it is about

You conduct an independent research project in a microbiome and microbiology laboratory that combines laboratory practicals and computer-based work. In the end you can formulate a hypothesis, perform experiments, and present the results in written and oral form.

What you will be able to do

• Hypothesis development and experimental design
• Conducting laboratory work (wet lab) and data analysis (dry lab)
• Method development and optimization
• Phage isolation and investigation of phage-bacteria interactions
• Analysis of microbial growth kinetics, phage resistance and genomic data
• Scientific writing and presentation

What the module consists of
