Forschungspraktikum Nanobiophysikalische Methoden in den Lebenswissenschaften

What it is about

In this research internship you work on a defined experimental project from nanobiophysics, including mechanosensation, oral texture, and interactions between foods and cells. In the end you will be able to practically apply nanobiophysical methods, analyze biophysical data, and present your results scientifically.

What you will be able to do

• Explain the fundamental principles of nanobiophysical methods
• Apply atomic force microscopy and confocal microscopy as well as cell-based receptor analyses
• Quantitatively and computationally analyze biophysical data sets
• Design experimental workflows and formulate hypotheses
• Assess data in terms of reliability and methodological limitations
• Convey scientific results verbally and in writing

What the module consists of

• Betreutes LaborpraktikumCarrying out practical experiments and applying nanobiophysical techniques (up to six weeks of lab work within ten weeks)
