Humane Stammzelldifferenzierung in Pankreas Organoide für die Diabetes- und Krebsforschung (Forschungspraktikum)

What it is about

You will work six weeks in the laboratory and learn how human stem cells are cultured and selectively differentiated into pancreatic organoids. In the end you will be able to handle stem cells, initiate a 3D differentiation toward the pancreas, and analyze the resulting organoids with molecular biological and cellular biological methods.

What you will be able to do

• Understand and apply the basic principles of culture and differentiation of human stem cells
• Practically perform differentiation of stem cells to pancreatic cell lines
• Apply relevant molecular and cellular analysis methods (FACS, immunofluorescence, microscopy, qPCR)
• Phenotypically and molecularly recognise cellular maturity and cell line types
• Document, evaluate and present experimental data
• Derive your own questions on pancreas biology and diseases
