Forschungspraktikum Peptidchemie und -biochemie

What it is about

You will conduct a six-week research internship in a working group on peptide synthesis and the investigation of structure–activity relationships of biologically active peptides. In the end you will master fundamental methods of peptide synthesis, peptide purification, and biochemical/biophysical characterization, and you will be able to document, evaluate, interpret, and present results.

Assessment

The examination requirement corresponds to the lab performance and consists of three component assessments: 1) Written results report (protocol) at the end of the internship, weighting 15% of the final grade. 2) Presentation to the research group (about 30 minutes) at the end of the internship, weighting 15% of the final grade. 3) Evaluation of practical laboratory performance, weighting 70% of the final grade. In the practical assessment, theoretical and practical skills as well as the ability to perform, evaluate, and interpret the experiments are taken into account.
