Pflanzensystembiologie (Vorlesung und Seminar)

What it is about

You learn system biology methods for analyzing genome, proteome and metabolome data with a focus on plant hormone signaling (especially auxin). At the end you will be able to identify relevant genes/databases, evaluate proteome and interaction data, and analyze and present biological questions system-biology-style.

What you will be able to do

• Identification of selected genes and gene mutants in databases
• Search and evaluation of proteome and phosphoproteome data
• Analysis of protein–protein interaction data
• Knowledge of important biochemical and cellular biological methods as well as their advantages and disadvantages
• Critical assessment of available datasets
• Summarizing and visually preparing scientific data
• Presentation and discussion of scientific results before a specialist audience

• Seminarvortrag (ca. 30 min) zu einer aktuellen VeröffentlichungTraining der Präsentations- und Diskussionsfähigkeit; Transfer des Gelernten
