Forschungspraktikum Molekulare Physiologie

What it is about

You work practically in the laboratory on molecular physiological techniques: cell and tissue culture, isolation of cells, nucleic acids and proteins as well as their analysis (e.g. transcriptomics, real-time RT-PCR, ELISA, flow cytometry, blot techniques). In the end you master fundamental molecular biological laboratory procedures, can evaluate your results statistically and bioinformatically, and document and present scientifically.

• Apply transcriptomics and real-time RT-PCR
• Protein analysis using ELISA or flow cytometry
• Apply blot techniques
• Use databases, sequence analysis and bioinformatics
• Basics of biostatistics for analysing experimental data
• Critical analysis of results and identification of sources of variance
• Accurate scientific documentation and structured report writing
• Oral presentation of scientific internship work
