What it is about
You will gain a comprehensive insight into specific metabolic pathways of microorganisms as well as into molecular genetic mechanisms in bacteria and archaea. In the end you will be able to explain different metabolic strategies, assess their consequences for energetics and product formation, and classify molecular processes such as mutation, gene transfer, and regulation of gene expression.
