Forschungspraktikum Chemische Genetik

What it is about

You work in a laboratory project on chemical genetics: Small molecules are used to identify proteins and their role for phenotypes in plants or to influence them selectively. In the end you will be able to plan, conduct and properly evaluate chemical-genetic experiments in plants.

What you will be able to do

• Understand principles of chemical-genetic research approaches
• Assess for which questions chemical genetics is meaningful
• Plan and perform basic chemical-genetic experiments in plants according to quality standards
• Interpret screening results and evaluate them in a written report

What the module consists of

• LaborprojektDurchführung von 1–4 Experimenten im Rahmen eines sechswochi­gen Forschungspraktikums
• LiteraturarbeitLesen von Originalartikeln zur Bewertung von Qualitätsstandards
• Schriftliche AusarbeitungErstellung eines Laborprotokolls / Forschungsberichts (ca. 15–20 Seiten)
