Forschungspraktikum Neurobiologie des Verhaltens

What it is about

You work experimentally with animal models to characterize behavior and underlying neurobiological or pharmacological mechanisms. In the end you will be able to collect, analyze and critically assess the suitability of the methods used for research questions, including behavioral data and neuroendocrine or molecular measures.

What you will be able to do

• Characterization of behavioral responses in animal models
• Knowledge of relevant theoretical backgrounds (e.g. stress, affective disorders, multimodal integration)
• Planning, conducting and analyzing neuroscientific and pharmacological studies
• Collection and analysis of behavioral biological and neuroendocrine parameters
• Introduction to molecular biological analyses (e.g. gene expression, hormone measurement, protein determination)
• Graphical presentation and statistical analysis of scientific data
• Writing a scientific paper incorporating current literature
• Critical evaluation of methods: advantages, limitations and suitability
