What it is about

You will learn how life sciences and new biotechnologies are changing society, politics and everyday notions. Through case studies you will practice critically analyzing the interconnections between science, technology and society and developing your own positions on current debates.

What you will be able to do

• Identify topics at the interface of life sciences and society
• read, discuss and capture core arguments of scientific texts on case studies
• research current debates in media, politics and society
• apply and reflect analytical skills to societal debates on life sciences
• articulate your own assessments on relevant topics
