What it is about

You will learn how data analyses and laboratory devices are automated and visualized. This includes data analysis and validation with Python as well as practical automation and robotics (LEGO Mindstorms) for implementing automated laboratory processes.

What you will be able to do

• Name prerequisites for automatic data analysis
• Explain the approach for your own analysis
• Transfer data between measuring instrument and analysis software and program automated analysis
• Analyze the necessary automation path for measurement data
• Assess when automation is possible
• Design and implement your own automated data analysis
• Name components for building a laboratory robot
• Explain the influence of sensors and motors on robot movement
• Program individual motion sequences and assemble hardware
• Analyze whether motion sequences need optimization
• Combine motion sequences, automate the overall process and validate
