You will learn current methods of structure determination at synchrotron facilities, in particular diffraction techniques such as temperature- and pressure-dependent powder diffraction, high-pressure single-crystal diffraction, and time-resolved single-crystal diffraction. Using examples from materials research (e.g. solar cells, thermoelectrics, batteries), you practice the assessment and planning of experimental projects at modern particle accelerators.
