What it is about

You will learn modern catalytic methods of organic synthesis and assess them. In the end you will be able to recognize important catalytic reactions (e.g., hydrogenation, isomerization, C–C- and C–X-bond formations, heterofunctionalization), evaluate their applicability, and propose catalytic alternatives to classical implementations.

• Recognize and understand important catalytic synthesis methods
• Identify specialized research-relevant tools in literature and practice
• Analyze and evaluate current research literature on catalytic syntheses
• Propose suitable catalytic procedures for planned substrate implementations
