What it is about

You will learn central aspects of macromolecular chemistry with a focus on technical polymers, polymer analytics and polymer physics. The module provides applications (e.g. adhesives, paints, coatings, duro- and elastomers, conductive polymers, medicine/medical technology) as well as environmental and interfacial topics. In the end you will be able to explain selected topics from polymer analytics and technical polymer chemistry and independently present and discuss literature work.

What you will be able to do

  • Describe topics from polymer analytics and technical polymers
  • Apply advanced knowledge in macromolecular chemistry and polymer chemistry
  • Independently analyze complex topics on the basis of primary literature
  • Prepare results professionally and present them to a specialist audience
  • Answer technical questions in discussions and evaluate contents

What the module consists of

  • Seminar (3 SWS)Students give a presentation, prepare a handout and participate in the subsequent group discussion

Teaching method

  • SeminarvorträgeEnable independent literature research, preparation and presentation of a topic
