Einführung in the Theranostic: Konzepte, Implementierung, klinische Anwendung

What it is about

You will learn the fundamentals and clinical applications of the theranostic approach in nuclear medicine. After the module you will understand the radiopharmaceuticals used, the measurement techniques of PET and SPECT as well as their dosimetry and typical applications in neuroendocrine tumors and prostate cancer.

What you will be able to do

• Knowledge of current procedures and application areas of theranostics in nuclear medicine
• Understanding of the relevant radiopharmaceuticals (PET- and SPECT-tracers) and their kinetics
• Understanding of imaging fundamentals, hardware and quantification in SPECT and PET
• Understanding of dosimetry and its significance
• Contextualization of clinical applications, especially in neuroendocrine tumors and prostate cancer
