What it is about

You will get an overview of modern methods in plant biotechnology and molecular plant biology, as well as insights into current research questions. You will learn how genetically modified plants are created and analyzed, which regulatory and application aspects are relevant, and which new technological potentials exist in research and teaching.

What you will be able to do

• Fundamental knowledge in plant biotechnology, plant biochemistry and molecular plant biology
• Familiarity with methods such as plant transformation, construct and vector design, as well as reporter systems
• Knowledge of important DNA-, RNA- and protein techniques
• Ability to critically reflect on technologies and goals of plant biotechnology
• Insights into current research projects, especially at the TUM campus
