What it is about

You will independently work on a scientific question from a technical topic area of the Master’s program Chemical Engineering. In the end you will be able to plan, conduct, evaluate and present the results in a scientific write-up and critically assess them.

What you will be able to do

• independently address a scientific problem
• apply technical methods from the program
• research and use relevant scientific literature
• analyze, validate and interpret results scientifically
• formulate new observations and insights
• create a project plan and complete it within the processing time
• write scientific texts (language, citation, structure, discussion)

What the module consists of

• Semester paper (in-person time 6 weeks / full-time, ca. 240 h)handling the individual scientific question and creating the written report

Teaching method

• supervision by a supervisorintroduction to the question, guidance and support of the project
• independent project work (literature research, project plan, execution, evaluation)promotes independent scientific work; method may vary strongly depending on the topic
