What it is about

You engage with the relationship between urban space and photography. The focus is on how photographic images shape the cityscape, the understanding of architecture, and the urban design process. In the end you will be able to perceive urban space and cityscape comparatively and use this perception as the foundation for architectural design.

• Understanding of your own perception of the architectural space at the scale of the city
• Development of your own stance on topics of city and image
• Critical reception of the image as a communication medium of architecture
• Reflection on the relationship between theory and practice of space and image production

• Übung Raumapplication-oriented mediation of spatial perception in exemplar urban spaces of Munich; photographic exercises in space
