What it is about

You learn what holistic planning processes for climate-appropriate building look like, with the user as the focus. In this module you examine the winter and summer behavior of buildings, factors such as site and climate, and interactions of comfort, passive measures, space conditioning, and energy supply. In the end you will be able to recognize the relationships between building envelope, indoor climate, and comfort requirements and develop corresponding space conditioning systems and techniques.

• Apply passive and active measures for space conditioning
• Consider energy supply and energy storage in the building context
