What it is about

You will learn how the reliability of technical, infrastructure and environmental systems is analyzed and evaluated. In the end you will be able to select appropriate system models, apply established methods of risk and reliability analysis, and identify dependencies as well as important components in systems.

What you will be able to do

• Select proven system models for reliability analysis
• Apply methods such as fault tree and event tree analysis
• Model complex engineering systems with sampling-based methods
• Model effects of dependent system components
• Identify important components and failure states
• Implement methods in software tools (e.g. Matlab)
