What it is about

You will learn how to probabilistically assess life-cycle, reliability and maintenance strategies for infrastructure structures under uncertainty. In the end you will be able to apply stochastic models for deterioration and monitoring, analyze life-cycle costs, and optimize inspection and monitoring strategies and implement them in Python/Matlab.

• Assess life-cycle reliability, availability and risk
• Perform probabilistic life-cycle assessment using Monte Carlo simulation
• Evaluate reliability of maintained systems
• Conduct cost–benefit analyses for maintenance strategies
• Consider the time value of money in infrastructure management
• Understand models for inspection and monitoring
• Assess the impacts of repair and retrofit
• Conduct Life-Cycle-Cost analyses
• Optimize inspection and monitoring strategies
• Implement analysis methods in Python or Matlab
