Software Praktikum

What it is about

You work in small teams (3–4 people) on a scientific software project to solve a typical engineering problem from mechanics, modeling or simulation. In the end you can develop an independent software product, document it and present the results professionally.

What you will be able to do

• Analyze engineering or research questions and work on them software-side
• Present project progress and results understandably and incorporate feedback
• Describe and document software according to common standards
• Apply software development methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, Agile, Scrum)
• Carry out time planning in the team and use domain-specific communication with tools

What the module consists of

• Seminar / ProjektbetreuungGroup meetings with supervisors to convey theoretical foundations and to coordinate project progress
• PräsentationenTwo interim presentations for progress documentation and one final presentation including discussion
• PosterPresentation and evaluation of the project results at the end
