Structural Research 2

What it is about

You work on current research topics of the Chair of Structural Design and treat both theoretical and experimental aspects. In the end you produce a scientific thesis that includes the state of the art, methodology and critical conclusions. You can subsequently independently address research questions in the field of structural design and present results.

What you will be able to do

• Independent research on a specific topic in structural design
• Compilation and evaluation of relevant literature
• Development of topic-specific models and tools
• Generation, interpretation and evaluation of scientific data from experiments
• Presentation of research results (presentation, report, models, drawings)
• Critical reflection of the results and formulation of possible further developments

What the module consists of

• ProjektarbeitCentral mode of work; includes research, interim and final presentation and the written final report
• PresentationsIntroduction and discussion of interim and final results with supervisors
• Experimental and theoretical workDevelopment of the topic in laboratory/simulation and conceptual analysis
