What it is about

You work on a practice-oriented project on a problem from a domain-specific application (e.g., medicine, biology or business informatics) and bridge Data Engineering and Analytics to the application area. In the end you can apply appropriate methods from Data Engineering and Analytics, implement a technical solution and document and present it in a way understandable to professionals in the application field.

What you will be able to do

• Apply methods from Data Engineering and Analytics
• Clarify and understand questions in an unfamiliar domain
• Propose and implement solution paths with Data Engineering-/Analytics-methods
• Document the solution in a way understandable to professionals in the application area
• Present the solution convincingly to professionals and obtain their approval

What the module consists of

• ProjektarbeitDevelopment of a practical solution to a topic related to processing large amounts of data; includes program, documentation and presentation

Teaching method

• Betreute ProjektarbeitStudents work alone or in small groups to develop a solution in coordination with the project supervisor; regular meetings serve for coordination
