AI-edited module sheet. Based on the TUMonline module description, edited for readability.Original in TUMonline

What it is about

You engage with applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning in earth observation and earth system modelling. You learn to survey, summarize and present current scholarly publications and data-science concepts in your own lectures. In doing so you also practice presenting datasets or initial coding/algorithm concepts and discuss them professionally. In the end you can design and deliver scientific talks on ML applications in earth observation and respond confidently to questions and feedback.

What you will be able to do

  • Conceptualization and elaboration of scientific talks
  • Summary and discussion of current publications on AI/ML in earth observation
  • Presentation of datasets and initial coding/algorithm concepts
  • Lecture and Q&A competence (structure, presentation, handling of queries)

What the module consists of

  • Seminar/PräsentationenStudents develop topics and deliver their own scientific talks; discussion and professional exchange

Teaching method

  • LectureConveying disciplinary basics and current topics
