Precision Agriculture

What it is about

You will learn the concepts, technologies and economic aspects of precision agriculture. The module conveys how remote sensing, GIS/GPS, sensor technology, robotics and variable application are used to analyze soil and crop variability and to derive site-specific management decisions.

What you will be able to do

• Understand the concepts and principles of precision agriculture
• Apply measurement and modeling methods to analyze spatial soil and crop variability
• Analyze growth and health problems of plants with the help of sensors and models
• Assess robustness and transferability of sensor and model methods
• Develop critical thinking for decision making with precision agriculture technologies
• Develop multidisciplinary strategies to solve practical problems in precision agriculture
