What it is about

You will learn to read scientific publications in biochemistry in English, to systematically understand them and to critically evaluate them. In the end you will be able to classify the structure and results of domain articles, follow the origin and peer review process, and clearly describe and discuss scientific content in English.

• fast and effective navigation in English-language scientific publications
• methodical understanding of the structure and content of biochemical publications
• critical assessment of the quality of publications
• comprehension of the scientific origin and evaluation process (e.g. peer review, impact factor, H-index)
• scientific communication and presentation of results in English
• discussion of results in the scientific context with regard to good scientific practice
