What it is about
You engage with current topics around quantum networks: from the fundamentals of quantum information, through protocols and distributed quantum computing, to practical aspects such as satellite connections and components of a quantum internet. In the end, you understand the state of the art and the existing limitations and can read, evaluate and present scientific papers on these topics.
What you will be able to do
- Understand the state of research on quantum networks
- Assess limits and challenges
- read and critically evaluate scientific publications
- summarize scientific results in writing
- present research content to an academic audience
What the module consists of
- SeminarYou develop a specific topic and present it weekly in the group; discussions deepen understanding.
Teaching method
- Introductory presentationintroduces the topic
- Mentoringeach topic has expert supervision
- Student presentations with discussionenable practicing scientific talks and peer critique
- PowerPoint and scientific publicationsas supportive media for presentation and research
