What it is about
In pairs you develop a complete electronics solution for evaluating a Hall sensor: from circuit simulation through PCB layout and assembly to microcontroller-assisted commissioning. In the end you will be able to design simple circuits, layout PCBs, place SMDs, perform measurements and program an embedded system for sensor signal processing.
What you will be able to do
- Apply fundamental circuit-related relationships
- Use SPICE and KiCad tools for development
- Independently create circuit layout and PCB design
- Safely apply soldering methods (soldering iron, hot air, reflow)
- Commissioning and analysis with oscilloscope and multimeter
- Implement microcontroller-based control and regulation tasks
- Understand and integrate the physical principle of a Hall sensor
- Critically assess the development process and identify potential improvements
