AI-edited module sheet. Based on the TUMonline module description, edited for readability.Original in TUMonline

What it is about

You work in a group on the development of a VLSI architecture: from system design and partitioning through hardware specification and verification to simulation, synthesis and FPGA implementation. In the end you can specify a HW system and implement an IC design with VHDL along a HW design flow up to system testing.

What you will be able to do

  • HW system specification
  • IC design with VHDL implementation
  • apply the HW design flow from system specification to system test
  • perform simulation, synthesis and FPGA implementation
  • team and project work (coordination, integration, verification)

What the module consists of

  • ProjektarbeitGroup work on the development of the VLSI architecture including spec, implementation and integration
  • PräsentationPresentation of the work results to the team
  • DokumentationWritten elaboration of the central results and the development process
  • SysteminspektionEvidence of the functionality of the implemented system

Teaching method

  • Teamwork (self-organized task distribution and coordination)Enables practical project work, role allocation and integration of submodules
  • Presentation of the work resultsTrains presentation and discussion of project results
