What it is about
You learn how Medium Access Control (MAC) and resource management work in wireless and wired networks and how to evaluate their performance. At the end you will be able to analyze MAC protocols, retransmission schemes, scheduling procedures for cellular networks, as well as basic principles of Layer 2/3 protocols and apply SDN fundamentals.

- Explain design principles of mobile cellular networks (2G–5G)
- Apply resource management procedures (scheduling) in LTE and 5G
- Explain basic principles of Layer 2 (data link) and Layer 3 (network)
- Apply methods for design and deployment of software-defined networks (SDN)
