You learn how quantum effects in nanoscale devices are described and how to apply suitable numerical methods to simulate such systems. Topics range from the Schrödinger equation and its numerical treatment to quantum transport simulations. In the end you can formulate physical models and solve them numerically as well as develop simple own simulation codes.
